Resource to Help with Part D Implementation

Published Online: Tuesday, November 1, 2005

The deadline for implementation of the Medicare Part D prescription drug program is quickly approaching. The $400 billion Medicare drug benefit raises many questions for the health care industry. To help weed through all the data, Atlantic Information Services has published the Guide to the Medicare Drug Benefit. The resource helps keep track of new regulations and guidance as they are issued, as well as clarifications, explanations, and future changes. Areas covered include the Medicare Advantage plans (Part C), Medicare formulary guidelines, and electronic prescribing standards.

Updated quarterly, the Guide to the Medicare Drug Benefit will show what health plans can and cannot do with their marketing plans, tell exactly who can enroll in which plan and the time frame, and provide up-to-date information on how to implement Part D plans. The resource also comes with a specially designed Part D Web site for quick access to all documents and timely e-mails that provide instant news of (and links to) new regulations and other important developments. For more information about the Guide to the Medicare Drug Benefit, visit, or call 800-521-4323.
