Medicare Drug Law Is Focus of Symposium

Pharmacists will have an opportunity to better grasp the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act of 2003 during the 25th Annual Arnold Schwartz Memorial Symposium. Sponsored by the Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences of Long Island University, the conference will be held November 21, 2004, at the LaGuardia Marriott Hotel in East Elmhurst, NY.

The conference will provide pharmacists with a conceptual understanding of the legislation, together with practical considerations for implementing the provisions of the Medicare prescription drug program. Conference attendees will receive 6 hours of continuing education credit. The registration fee for the program is $100, which includes breakfast, lunch, and course materials.
