DesChutes Medical Products Inc (Bend, Oregon) recently introduced Myself. This product is an FDA-cleared over-the-counter pelvic muscle trainer (PMT; formerly available by prescription only) that is now available nationwide. Myself teaches and motivates women to effectively strengthen their pelvic muscles by guiding them through a series of flexand- relax (Kegel) exercises. The exercises help women control their pelvic muscles for better bladder control, with the added benefits of increased vaginal tone for enhanced intimacy as well as prevention of prolapse. The kit retails for $89 and contains 1 handheld personal PMT, 1 vaginal sensor (nonlatex), step-by-step instructions, 1 replacement vaginal sensor, and a travel bag.
