A pharmacist at a Tennessee grocery store who had been charged with stealing hundreds of tramadol pills has forfeited his license.

A pharmacist at a Tennessee grocery store who had been charged with stealing hundreds of tramadol pills has forfeited his license.

Jonathan W. Grim, 39, allegedly stole more than 500 pills over a 4-month period and will now face felony embezzlement charges, according to Times News.

A loss prevention specialist reported to police that the pain pills were missing and accused Grim of stealing the pills on 11 occasions between April and August 2014, according to Times News. Four days after Grim started work at the Kingsport, Tennessee, pharmacy, the facility saw its first theft, police said.

The loss prevention specialist said Grim admitted to being addicted to the pills when asked about the missing tramadol, according to Times News.

According to police, the pills are valued at $2336 wholesale and $4567 retail. Police records show that Grim was the manager of the pharmacy at the time of the thefts.

According to WCYB, Grim has entered a rehab center and admitted that what he did was unethical.
