Pharmacy technician Elaine Sapunarich couldn’t do much with this messy prescription that a patient handed her at Rite Aid pharmacy in Saugerties, New York. She had to follow up with the patient’s physician to find out what it said.

When this prescription was brought into CVS Pharmacy in Suffern, New York, staff pharmacist Ira Green, another pharmacist on duty, and 2 technicians all put their heads together to figure it out. Their attempt was unsuccessful, and they decided that a phone call to the physician was in order.
