FOUGERA DONATES MEDS TO AMERICARES
Fougera is continuing its missionto support AmeriCares. The pharmaceuticalcompany, along with itsparent company Nycomed US Inc,recently presented the internationalrelief organization with a gift ofmedicines and other items.
The medicines, including topicalsteroids and topical antibiotics, were produced specifically for AmeriCares afterthe organization identified those most needed due to war, poverty, or natural disastersin countries throughout the world. The company's philanthropic program,Fougera Cares, has been helping the organization for 16 years.
"Fougera began making medicine in 1849, based on the belief that every personshould have access to affordable, quality medication. This tradition remainsat the core of our business model," said Paul McGarty, Nycomed chief executiveofficer. "Our 16-year relationship with AmeriCares has provided us an opportunityto help thousands of doctors, clinics, and hospitals in the United States andaround the world with medicines that they would otherwise go without."
