The product is approved by the FDA for the treatment of small, uncomplicated varicose veins of the lower extremities. Sotradecol Injection is used in sclerotherapy (nonsurgical vein removal). An estimated 1.7 million individuals undergo sclerotherapy each year in the United States. Sotradecol Injection is available in 2 strengths, 1% and 3%, and is packaged in 2-mL vials.
