Medical Group Chooses Misys System
Huntington Medical Group, a New York-based multispecialty practice, plans to install Misys EMR this fall. In a recent study, Misys learned that >80% of the benefits of using EMR systems can be gained even if the physician does not touch the hardware or software. The system was designed as modular components. For example, modules such as orders management and document imaging can be implemented in early phases, and point of care and charge passing can be installed at a later date.
"Automating the patient's chart will give our providers immediate access to the medical record. Servicing 200,000 patients usually requires 40,000 man-hours to retrieve, deliver, and file patient charts. These hours will be used to make our health care delivery system more productive," said Dave D'Auria, director of Patient Financial Services for Huntington Medical Group.
