CCRx Will Offer Medicare Part D Program

Community Care Rx (CCRx) plans to participate on a national basis under the 2006 Medicare Part D prescription drug program. With its success in the Medicare discount card program, CCRx will continue its focus on community pharmacists and their patients. The program will continue with its original goals to assess and launch programs and services that support the fundamental roles that only community pharmacists can offer.

Commenting on CCRx participation, Bruce Roberts, RPh, chairman of the board of CCRx, said, "Just as our participating pharmacists have proven through the Medicare discount card program, we are certain that they will play a vital role in making the Part D Program a success by assisting those Medicare beneficiaries that choose to enroll with CCRx in properly utilizing their prescription medications and in managing their prescription drug spending."
