A health-system pharmacist received quite a surprise one morning upon spotting a large hole in his pharmacy’s wall.
Two individuals have been accused of stealing medications and cash from the Midlands Hospital Pharmacy in Papillion, Nebraska.
Police arrested Caitlin C. Stavropoulos, 29, and Jacob Semin, 23, who allegedly broke into the pharmacy after hours on May 6, 2015.
Police say Stavropoulos went to Midlands’ emergency room (ER) to be treated for pain, but while there, she decided to bore a hole into the wall behind the ER and into the pharmacy, WOWT reported.
When a pharmacist opened for business the next morning, he discovered some money and drugs were missing.
Stavropoulos and Semin were reported to the police for “suspicious activity” at some apartments near the hospital. Police linked the pair to the burglary after finding items stolen from the pharmacy on them, according to WOWT.
