According to The San Francisco Examiner, the suspect either brandished a handgun or referenced having a gun across all of the incidents and demanded prescription medications. Two of the robberies occurred at a Walgreens and Greenhouse Pharmacy on the eve of Halloween, with the suspect leaving both pharmacies after receiving drugs.

During the first robbery committed on Halloween, which occurred at a Kaiser Permanente, the suspect fled after the pharmacist called police. The Examiner did not name the remaining pharmacies struck on Halloween, but noted that the suspect fled after receiving drugs.

Police believe the same suspect demanded pills from a Walgreens on November 2, 2014, while allegedly wearing a black San Francisco Giants baseball cap, a red sweater, and a black scarf wrapped around his neck.

A man in Johns Island, South Carolina, has been charged with strong-arm robbery in conjunction with an October 12, 2014, crime committed at Walgreens.

Jessie James Murphy, Sr, 49, allegedly complained about the price of 2 packs of cigarettes before reaching into his pocket and demanding money, The Post and Courier reports. Murphy allegedly left with the cigarettes and $140 in cash.

A store employee reported seeing an outline of a gun in Murphy’s pocket.

Murphy was taken into custody November 4, 2014. He has a history of burglary, grand larceny, and failing to appear for court hearings, The Post and Courier reports.

A man suspected of robbing Empson Drug Company in Ashland City, Tennessee, was taken into custody after car trouble sidelined his getaway vehicle on November 4, 2014.

The suspect allegedly entered the pharmacy at approximately 5:38 p.m., went behind the counter, and demanded narcotics, The Ashland City Times reports. He left in an unidentified vehicle after receiving the drugs, with police in hot pursuit. He fled on foot after his vehicle malfunctioned and was apprehended.

No customers were in the pharmacy during the robbery, and the 4 employees who were in there were not harmed.

A suspect who allegedly demanded money and drugs from a CVS pharmacy in Center Point, Alabama, on October 21, 2014, allegedly escaped by jumping through the drive-thru window.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office believe the man robbed 2 other CVS locations, where suspects also left the scene in bizarre ways, WVTM Birmingham reports.

Yesterday, authorities released a picture of the suspect, who they say donned a fake beard and sunglasses.
