The FDA is replacing its print magazine with a free monthly electronic newsletter. The newsletter is one of 2 new initiatives launched by the agency.

A Web page, Consumer Health Information for You and Your Family (www.fda.gov/consumer), provides comprehensive and timely information.

The FDA Consumer Health Information newsletter (accessible at www. fda.gov/consumer/consumernenews. html) will alert recipients to content contained on the page.

The Web page will present important public health developments clearly and accurately in easy-to-read language. Article discussions have included the benefits and risks of pain relievers and facts about generic drugs. The page also provides links to information about the various products that the FDA regulates, including medical devices, vaccines, and other biologics.
