Because white spots may appear on teeth, dentists recommend an anticavity rinse for anyone who wears braces. For example, a sodium fluoride and acidulated phosphate topical solution can prevent these white spots. This solution promotes remineralization and strengthens teeth by forming a submicroscopic reservoir of fluoride on the tooth enamel.
