INDICATION: Teva Pharmaceuticals recently announced the approval of Budesonide Capsules, the therapeutic equivalent of AstraZeneca’s Entocort EC, in a 3-mg dosage strength. The product is indicated to treat mild to moderate Crohn’s disease. Budesonide is a glucocorticosteroid that reduces symptoms of acute Crohn’s disease flare-ups, such as abdominal pain and diarrhea, by suppressing the body’s immune response.

INDICATION: Amneal Pharmaceuticals recently announced the launch of its AB-rated generic for Lutera 28 (levonorgestrel and ethinyl estradiol tablets USP) 0.1 mg/0.02 mg, the reference listed drug for the former Alesse brand. The product is an oral contraceptive intended for use in preventing pregnancy. Amneal’s generic will be sold under Larissia for ease of reference.

The product is an anticonvulsant and a specific analgesic for trigeminal neuralgia. Additionally, carbamazepine can treat partial seizures and generalized tonic-clonic seizures.
