Educational Objectives
After completing this continuing education program, the participant will be able to:
  • Examine the changes to previous guidelines as presented in the 2013 American Heart Association/ American College of Cardiology lipid guidelines.
  • Determine the use of the pooled cohort equations for the assessment of patients’ 10-year atherosclerotic cardiovascular risk.
  • Identify available and investigational medications and treatment strategies to develop patient-specific management of dyslipidemia.
