Article

The annual KANTAR Readership Study encompasses readership habits of thousands of pharmacists and pharmacy professionals, working in the areas of chain, independent retail pharmacies and health-system pharmacies.

Pharmacy Times, has been named the leading multimedia resource, in Media (Publication, Website, Email Newsletters) Read/Used Within the Past 6 Months among online respondents, according to the 2019 KANTAR Pharmacy Readership study.

“We are grateful to the pharmacy industry for their continued commitment, as demonstrated by Pharmacy Times No. 1 ranking in several categories among pharmacists,” said John Hydrusko, vice president of Pharmacy Healthcare Communications, in a prepared statement. “This recognition is a testament to the continuous hard work of the entire editorial team and our mission to deliver best-in class-editorial content, across multiple communication platforms, designed to elevate the practice of pharmacy.”

The annual KANTAR Readership Study encompasses readership habits of thousands of pharmacists and pharmacy professionals, working in the areas of chain, independent retail pharmacies and health-system pharmacies. The study also measures the habits of individuals in key positions in pharmacy benefit management companies and managed care organizations. The results of the survey are based on the study completed January through April 2019.

In addition, Pharmacy Times, which circulates to more than 200,000 retail and health-system pharmacists, also ranked first in average issue readers and average page exposures among total independent pharmacists. As industry innovators, independent pharmacists have continually raised the level of pharmacy practice by expanding the role of pharmacists as health care providers focused on patient experience, care and outcomes.

The study also ranked Pharmacy Times No. 1 in average issue readers and average page exposures among millennial pharmacists and members of the American Pharmacist Association (APhA), and average issue readers among members of the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA).

“The KANTAR Study not only validates that our editorial is relied upon by the pharmacy industry for information and business solutions, but also demonstrates the value we bring our advertisers across our media platforms of print, website and eNewsletters”, said Hydrusko.
