Physicians rely on pharmacists as medication experts to help determine the best treatment options and coordinate the correct medication regimens for patients.

Transcript

"The role of the pharmacist in the practice is evolving because there's just so much more now with the medications and drugs that the physicians don't have time to keep up on some of the intricacies of the drugs that the pharmacists can really do a better job at of managing. They really use us as a resource to help them, they'll come in and say "Which drug are we supposed to be using for this?" and looking at the clinical pathways that are embedded in our systems, and what the options are in those pathways for our patients also."
