CVD May Increase Risk of Cognitive Decline in Older Women

A relationship between cardiovascular disease (CVD) and cognitive decline in postmenopausal women was identified in a recent study published online in the Journal of the American Heart Association
. In women without CVD, hypertension and diabetes increased the risk for cognitive decline. No significant relationship was found between atrial fibrillation and heart failure with cognitive functioning.
