Pet Peeves (May 2017)

FAIR-WEATHER PHARMACY PATIENTS
When patients constantly remind me of what a beautiful day it is while I’m inside the pharmacy for a 12-hour shift.

CIRCULAR CALLS
Calls with insurance companies in which 2 representatives redirect me back and forth to each other.

NEVER MIND
When we rush to fill a large order of prescriptions for a patient who wishes to wait, only for the patient to tell us they’ll go somewhere else after we tell them the price.

THE USUAL EXCUSES
Patients who ask me to refill a controlled medication because their pills were supposedly stolen, but then refuse to show me a police report. Nothing suspicious there!
