The FDA has approved Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories’ abbreviated new drug application for Sildenafil Tablets, a bioequivalent version of Revatio. It is indicated for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension in adults. It improves exercise ability and delays worsening of clinical symptoms. The recommended dose is 20 mg 3 times per day, administered 4 to 6 hours apart. It is not recommended for patients who take nitrates or other products containing sildenafil.
