They don't WANT to abuse them, but they find it's the only thing that treats depression and anxiety and is a true mood enhancer. Pain just opens the door to them. Lets call the SSRI's for what they are - nothing - and start looking how to clean the baggage from the opioids and use what people are already taking anyway, except losing their lives and livelihood, to actually treat an issue.
It's not recreational to most hooked on them - it's in their mind survival. It has to stop, but will not until we have a real alternative. SSRI's only add to the issue because they make people feel funny in bad way, AND they don't work - so that false hope brings them looking and most find opioids by accident.
