Can You Read These Rxs?

DECEMBER 28, 2009

When staff pharmacist Marie Barone, RPh, at the Shop Rite Pharmacy in Jackson, New Jersey, received this prescription, she could not seem to decipher its meaning. With some help, she was able to determine the drug being prescribed. Do you know what it is?

Amanda Lowe, CPhT, of CarePlus Pharmacy in Columbia, South Carolina, found herself completely baffled by this prescription. She consulted 4 different pharmacists, none of whom could make any sense of the illegible handwriting. The nurse at the prescriber’s office was finally able to clarify it. Can you read the prescription?
