Job Facts & Figures: Information for Success

NOVEMBER 07, 2013
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the pharmacy job market is expected to grow by 25% by the year 2020, which is much faster than the overall occupational average in the nation. For today’s pharmacy students, this information is good if not great news. The jobs are out there, and pharmacy job seekers can find them with a little research.

In pharmacy, as in other health care fields, finding a job that is both professionally and financially satisfying may depend on where you live—or where you are willing to go. Pharmacy graduates willing to relocate may find themselves in the position to earn a top salary—in a setting they love.

The map shows data from the Aggregate Demand Index, supported by the Pharmacy Workforce Center, and provides more detailed information on job demand, state by state, from the month of July 2013.
