The National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Disease (NIAMS) has launched a new Spanishlanguage Web site, called En Espa?ol, which offers health education and research information about arthritis, rheumatic diseases, and disorders of the bone, skin, muscle, and connective tissue.
En Espa?ol gives Spanish-speaking individuals an opportunity to learn more about NIAMS' mission and how it is implemented through research and other initiatives to improve the health of the nation. Also, the Web site contains information about NIAMS' leadership and budget and a list of contacts for queries about grants and clinical trials. "Our Spanish-language site is a step beyond production of health information in Spanish. It is our attempt to make the NIAMS Web site more accessible to the growing population of Spanish-speaking individuals," said NIAMS director Stephen I. Katz, MD, PhD.
En Espa?ol can be accessed at www.niams.nih.gov/index_espanol.htm .
