The National Institute on Aging (NIA) is offering 2 free resources. The NIA?s most recent publication is the updated 2001-2002 Alzheimer?s Disease Progress Report. This 48-page report offers a comprehensive overview of the recent advances in Alzheimer?s disease research, including new findings on its causes, risk factors, promising protective measures, and caregiving.
The second publication is the Progress Report, Alzheimer?s Disease: Unraveling the Mystery. As a companion to the 2001-2002 Alzheimer?s Disease Progress Report, it provides basic science background on the brain and Alzheimer?s disease in an easy-to-understand language. An accompanying CD-ROM offers an educational video and graphics.
