Army Reserve soldiers had a keen eye when they witnessed a teenager acting suspiciously in a pharmacy.

Soldiers with the 372nd Military Police Company from Cumberland, Maryland, were leaving a CVS pharmacy in Pemberton, New Jersey, when they saw a teen with a large black knife, black plastic bag, and a covering on his face, Patch reported.

As the soldiers were calling the police, the 16-year-old attempted robber fled the pharmacy and did not respond to calls to stop. The soldiers chased him by foot, and eventually, they caught the teen, who dropped his supplies and surrendered.

The teen was arrested, taken to a juvenile detention center, and charged with robbery, possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose.

Two of the soldiers involved in stopping the incident have backgrounds in law enforcement, according to Patch.

Sgt. Eric Blake is a law enforcement officer for the Anne Arundel County Police Department, and Cpl. Aaron Dabney is a law enforcement officer for the Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia.
