Police and a CVS pharmacy are on the lookout for a man who stole several boxes of diabetic test strips.

The suspect, who is aged around 18 to 22 years and about 6 feet tall, entered the pharmacy in Farmington, Michigan, at 1 PM on January 29, 2016, The Detroit Free Press reported.

Surveillance footage showed the man waiting around in the aisle until customers had left the pharmacy counter. The suspect then lunged through the pharmacists’ employee door, grabbed several boxes of the test strips from a display shelf, and threw the boxes into a black garbage bag.

He then left the store and ran through the CVS parking lot, according to The Detroit Free Press.

Ted Wartham, the city’s public safety deputy director, told the paper that the man may be trying to resell the strips to another pharmacy.

“That’s what we’re suspecting could possibly be the reason” for the robbery, he said.

Diabetic test strips are among the most common OTC items stolen by organized “retail crime gangs,” according to the National Retail Federation. Allergy medicines, pain relievers, and weight-loss pills are also on the list.
