WOONSOCKET, R.I. and SULPHUR SPRINGS, Texas, Dec. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --CVS/pharmacy and Medicine Chest Pharmacy announced today that CVS will acquire 19 Medicine Chest drug stores in Texas during the last weekend of December. CVS/pharmacy will operate nine of the acquired locations and relocate ten other Medicine Chest pharmacies into nearby existing CVS/pharmacy locations. Medicine Chest will continue to operate its remaining ten locations.

The following Medicine Chest pharmacies will relocate their pharmacy business and transfer customer prescription records to the corresponding existing CVS/pharmacy stores on December 31.

The following Medicine Chest Pharmacy locations will operate as CVS/pharmacy. Prescription services will continue to be available during the remodeling and renaming process.
