ChainDrugStore.net has started a new chapter
in its 6-year history. The pharmacy network
recently completed the management-led buyout
from its former parent company, the
National Association of Chain Drug Stores
(NACDS), with funding provided by a private
investor.
ChainDrugStore.net, established by NACDS
in 2000, will now expand beyond retail pharmacy
to encompass all pharmacies and provide
network access to managed care organizations
whose goals are to communicate
directly with pharmacy. The expansion of the
network will include the addition of trusted
industry data resources and analytics that will
improve communication and measurable
results for all involvedpharmacies, manufacturers,
and managed care organizations,
according to Todd Grover, ChainDrugStore.net
president.
"NACDS developed ChainDrugStore.net to
level the playing field for all pharmacies. We
will continue to build on that model, while
emphasizing the importance of pharmacy and
its integral role in health care," he said.
