The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) and
the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) are now
speaking with one voice. The associations recently formed the
Coalition for Community Pharmacy Action (CCPA) to represent
them on legislative and regulatory issues of common interest.
"CCPA's success is critical to the continued economic viability
of not only community pharmacists, but also the health
and safety of millions of patients who rely on their community
pharmacists for medications and professional services,"
said Bruce Roberts, RPh, NCPA executive vice president and
chief executive officer.
Robert Hannan, NACDS interim president and chief executive
officer, said,"Working together,we can be more effective in influencing
the formation of legislation and regulations affecting community
pharmacy." Hannan is serving as Executive Committee
cochairman for CCPA.
