Allergy season is upon us,
and Rite Aid has launched a
comprehensive allergy program
at its nationwide drugstores.
Through this month,
the drugstore chain is handing
out free informational guides that educate patients
about allergieswhat they are, what causes them,
and how to treat them. The company also is offering a
free magnetic allergy-tip magnet and coupon book.
Aside from coupons for allergy-relief products, there
are tips on how to reduce or eliminate allergy symptoms
by making changes around the house.
In a collaborative effort, Rite Aid and the American
Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology have
developed an 11-page guide. The guide recommends
OTC allergy remedies that work best for certain
symptoms, informs patients about allergy questions
to ask health care professionals, provides advice on
allergy prevention for children, and gives tips for
allergy-proofing homes.
