Health Care Company Introduces Partner Program

Cardinal Health Inc recently launchedthe Cardinal Health Connectivity PartnerProgram. The program's objective is toallow hospitals to improve the flow ofdata by interfacing Cardinal Health solutionswith third-party technologies. Thecompany has reached agreements withseveral companies for the AlarisGateway Partner Certification Program,the first certification available under thenew program.

The Alaris Gateway provides interfacecapabilities to hospital informationsystems, helping to enhance medicationsafety by assisting the timelyexchange of intravenous (IV) medicationinfusion and patient monitoringdata. The Alaris System connects wirelesslywith a central Alaris Server,which then sends the infusion datathrough the Alaris Gateway to the hospitalinformation system, establishingthe first true information technology-centric infusion information system.

This infusion system influences theunique capabilities of the Alaris System.The Alaris System captures IV infusiontherapy and patient monitoring informationthat can help hospitals decreaseharm caused by adverse drug events.
