Watch Eating and Drinking Before Bedtime

Research has shown that eatingtoo close to bedtime can impedesleep. Sleep experts have recommendedthat individuals finish eatingat least 2 to 3 hours before their usualbedtime. They said that eating ordrinking too much may make individualsless comfortable when settlingdown for bed. The experts suggestedthe following:
- Avoid a heavy meal too close to bedtime
- Stay away from spicy foods because they may cause heartburn
- Restrict fluids too close to bedtime to prevent nighttime awakenings to use the bathroom
