A Good Night's Rest Scores High in Women's Survey
A survey conducted by the Better Sleep Council showed thatwomen identify getting a good night's sleep as their top priorityfor personal wellness. The women in the same survey, however, ranked getting a good night's sleep third behind eating a balanceddiet and exercising in terms of actual behavior. The dataindicated that, whereas 45% of the women said that they feelmost energized after a good night's sleep, only 16% reported thatthey are likely to sleep more to improve their overall wellness.
The National Sleep Foundation's "2001 Sleep in America" pollfound that adult women are more apt to report daytime sleepinessat least a few times a week and more likely to have had any symptomsof insomnia at least a few times a week, compared with men.
