Pharmacy technicians are continuing to prove their worth as pharmacies shift their focus to the future, according to Jessica Langley-Loep, executive director of education and advocacy at the National Healthcareer Association.

In addition to the new responsibilities during the COVID-19 pandemic, pharmacy technicians are continuing to prove their worth as pharmacies shift their focus to the future, according to Jessica Langley-Loep, executive director of education and advocacy at the National Healthcareer Association.

In an interview at the Pharmacy Development Services 2022 conference, Langley-Loep discussed how the roles have evolved for pharmacy technicians, as well as what the new responsibilities have meant for mental health and burnout among technicians. She also discussed where she sees pharmacy technicians heading in the future and how their roles could continue to expand.
